Death metal gods CANNIBAL CORPSE will do a quick North American tour in November with VITAL REMAINS, DYING FETUS, & DEVOURMENT.  No date in our neck of the nation as of now but stay tuned for details.

Guitar god Zakk Wylde of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will be doing an in-store appearance at Border’s Books, 150 N. State Street in Chicago on Monday Aug 16th from 4p-6p.

The U.K.’s Rhythm Magazine held an on-line poll to determine the “Best Drummer in the Last 25 Years” . . .  SLIPKNOT’S Joey Jordison came out on top while DREAM THEATER’s Mike Portnoy came in second.  Somehow SLAYER’s Dave Lombardo did not make the list and BLINK 182′s Travis Barker did so keep that in mind.

While BEHEMOTH have been forced to cancel their North American tour, their support act WATAIN has not and will be doing the tour as planned.  Details are forthcoming.

A new thing called KILLER IN THE WORKPLACE is getting ready to rear it’s ugly head.  It features former STUCK MOJO screamer Bonz as well as former SOULFLY bassist Bobby Burns on guitar, PRIMER 55 bassist Curt Taylor, & drummer Brian Jung.  Look for them to tour in October before hitting the studio.

Speaking of tours. . .  GWAR will do their annual fall excursion.  Look for the “Bloody Tour of Horror” with INFERNAEON, THE CASUALTIES, & MOBILE DEATHCAMP  to hit Chicago’s House of Blues on October 26th.

Checking the “New Band Registry” we find that Relapse Records has signed a deal with a group of individuals called FATHER BEFOULED which means that that name is no longer available.

And finally . . . not that the world was clamoring for it but you can now sip some Randy Rhoads wine.  The special edition 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon was (Quote) “created with the same dedication, passion, & pride that Randy put into his music” and will hit the local liquor store on Aug. 15th.
