AC/DC are currently on the second highest grossing tour of all time. To date, 4.9 million fans have gone to 168 shows earning the lads a cool $441.6 million bucks. The ROLLING STONES are still the kings earning $558.3 million on their “Bigger Bang” tour 2005-’07 but AC/DC isn’t done yet.
MEGADETH singer Dave Mustaine will be in town signing copies of his autobiography “Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir”. Look for him to be scribbling his john hancock at the Border’s Books on State Street on Aug. 20th and the Border’s in Schaumburg on Aug 21st.
Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will do a North American tour this fall. No dates around our neck of the Nation as of now but I’ll keep you posted. ESCAPE THE FATE, BLACK TIDE, & DRIVE A will be the opening acts.
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will do an intimate show at the Double Door. Look for that sweat-fest to take place October 8th.
Never would have thought it but not one but two EMPEROR songs will be available for download to your Rock Band 2 video game on X-Box-360. Both songs “Curse You All Men” and “Inno A Satana” come from their live release Live Inferno which surfaced last year.
While nobody was paying attention, EUROPE announced a fall tour. Thankfully their “Balls & Banners” tour is not coming to our beloved country
. . .And finally, Swedish death-metallers WATAIN are releasing a poster promoting their fourth release “Lawless Darkness” that has human blood mixed in with the ink. The blood did not however come from the band themselves unlike KISS who used their own blood for the printing of their comic book back in the 70′s. Look for WATAIN to tour with BEHEMOTH later this year.
